About Punk Smurph

Typically I am terrible with autobiographical writing, something about having to be reflective and honest THEN commit those feelings to digital paper has been a difficult chore. No longer can I just sit out the task though. So here it is, a rather brief introduction to who I am and why I am building this site out, again, but with more effort this time.

I am old enough to remember chat rooms where you would go asking that to people, usually after hearing the demons tearing a hole through your phone line to connect you to the world wide web. When it comes to identifying information I would like to say "none of those things really matter" but with the flow of information as it is today I am all too aware that they do. Its just that I get to live in a position of privilege (I think this answers a couple specific piece of information about me) and a lot of things I talk about are spoken of from that privilege. Also I have pretty extensively used this name across the internet and there is enough pictures and information out there to answer these questions. Rather than focus on my PII let's instead consider that anything I say reflects the fact that my path through life was considerably easier than many peoples journey. No amount of "empathy" or "understanding" will give me the same moments and experiences in life that I will discuss on this site and I understand that. I just hope that connecting with people and trying to gain insight on how life has given us different troubles on our road though our one chance on this planet can give me the knowledge to be a better and more understanding person.

Do you even work?

I do have a job, not a particularly interesting one, but its work. As much as I would like to make a career out of being a Dungeon Master or professional opinionist I don't think either would sufficently pay the bills. So I practice them as hobbies.
